In a large bowl, whisk together one cup of butter, ¾ cup of brown sugar and 1/4 cup of honey. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt, then add to the butter mixture until it starts to form a dough. Add in vanilla extract and stir in chocolate chips. Press dough into a greased cookie sheet making sure it is evenly distributed across the bottom of the pan. Place pecans on top for decoration or leave plain for an enjoyable guilt-free dessert- if desired, cut into squares while still hot from the oven. Bake for 12-15 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
